When the tornado crossed into Wichita falls it damaged Memorial Stadium then went on to Mc Neil Junior High and then to the residential part of the city. It went on from Wichita falls and past the Red River then to Oklahoma. It killed 42 people in Wichita falls and 1700 injuries. It destroyed over 3,000 homes and left 20,000 people homeless.
Waco tornado: 1953
"The Deadliest Tornado in Texas since 1900" Mainly when you research the catastrophic events that have happened in Texas you mainly get what they destroyed. The Waco tornado is named as one the of the deadliest tornado since 1900 since it killed 114 and injured 587 people. Many bodies could not even have been recovered till several days after the incident. When the tornado hit it destroyed a 6-story building and that impact killed 30 people alone.
